DISPATCHED FROM THE CROSSROADS, AT THE INTERSECTION OF yesterday & tomorrow
Saturday, 6.2.07: Week In Review
A quiet week Planet Susan. Trying to hang on to that Ireland feeling, while reconnecting with all my pals.
Continuing to tell my Ireland stories. Trying to actually exercise my writing skills, instead of the usual bloviation, but they are still more or less exercises in speed-writing.
Finished the photo restoration project for Maureen and sent off the package this morning. Found some good photo retouching and restoration tutorials at RetouchPRO, so I did lots of learning.
Finished updating the Dunne family tree and some histories of my great aunts and uncles. The family tree exploded onto 6 pages, which means it's just plain overwhelming now — upwards of 120 in my generation, 118 years after my great-grandparents got married.
Fish Tales. Jim picked up a bunch of copies of the Canal Times. My column "Of Fish and Men" was on page 2. Yippee! It wasn't really presented as an ongoing column, but what the hey, I'm in print, with the second column scheduled for July.
I've been luxuriating in the warm weather. Nice to sleep with the window open. At 5 AM a cardinal sings till the dawn breaks.
Thumbs Up if you liked this entry.
