DISPATCHED FROM THE CROSSROADS, AT THE INTERSECTION OF yesterday & tomorrow
Saturday, 3.31.07: Week In Review
Pre-spring on Planet Susan. Snow gone. No green except for tulip shoots. Looks warm, but, damn, it's still cold.
Projects. I got totally obsessed with re-formatting my web pages and figuring out the coding responsible for making a page look sweet. There are too many mysteries, but I had a few breakthroughs.
Time warp. Got totally sucked into the vortex of GVS discussion groups on Yahoo. It churned up so many memories of my coming-of-age — which in turn collided and interacted with the memories of others.
Fishing. Jim and I went to get our fishing licenses (and a carton of nightcrawlers) at the local bait shop on Irondequoit Bay. I pulled out all my fishing tackle, which has been collecting dust for 3 years. What a conglomeration of hopes and expectations! The creek near our house is recovering from the rains and snowmelt and the fish nursery upstream has released its brown trout. We'll see how ambitious I get this weekend about actually fishing.
Maria came over last night to review the first three "Fish Tales from the Towpath" columns before I submit them next week. We had 3 cosmos and did a lot of philosophizing.
Thumbs Up if you liked this entry.
