DISPATCHED FROM THE CROSSROADS, AT THE INTERSECTION OF sacred & profane
Saturday, 9.16.06: Week In Review
Busy week. Unexpectedly
social.
Our 9/11 activities took us to a church service, where preachers from 5 different faiths took a swipe at violence, especially as perpetuated by the Bush Administration.
Later, after walking a small labyrinth, we sat and talked with the owners of the residence — a couple of pastors who run a lot of interfaith activities (see Life Listening Resources) .
Just when I was thinking of myself as a church lady, a couple old friends from the dark side surfaced and I caught up on the gossip.
Wed and Fri drew me to artist friends, so that completed the triangle: the sacred, the profane, the artful.
In between, I knuckled down on my movie project: Mostly concentrating on turning sketches into Illustrator drawings. A little experimentation in animation. Modest progress overall. Press PLAY on the 2-second movie below.
Thumbs Up if you liked this entry.
