fun week.
Monday: the track. What happened to the jockey on this horse? A photo mystery.
4th of July: Pool party at Maria's got drowned out by the only rain of summer but it didn't stop us from having lots of convivial conversation with our favorite party people.
The Canal Times published my second column: "Changing Perspective at Lock 32" in their July issue.
I decided to focus my creative efforts on family history for the time being. I have started writing. But then I go back to my web pages and get hung up on reformating my messes and revising some of my stories where the facts have changed. I want to be loose and all Jack Kerouac-like, but I obsess over timelines and putting things "in order." And then I start looking at photographs. I guess that's all part of the process of sinking into a project, but I'm a great source of my own distractions.
I scanned a bunch of photos at my mom's in December 2005, but then sort
of forgot about them because they were on CDs, not my hard drive.
