Welcome to this experiment in writing — in process, in form, and in distribution. Today’s kick-off revolves around the posting of a draft version of GRAND EXITS: MARY’S GUIDE TO WISING UP for review and comment.

As I transferred the text from word processor to blog, I had to laugh. Mary was such an idiot growing up… and it took her forever. I’m hoping you find her as entertaining as I do.

Today’s release quandries & notes:

• I started this project with clever(ish) titles on the essays. Then I deleted them all as sort of too cute-sy. But now the blog structure really requires the titles back. So I was slapping in anything this morning.
• I am intrigued by the idea of adding lots of footnotes and playing with that form. The footnotes show up when I post the essays on specific pages like I do here, but in an electronic reader like Kindle they are toast.
• More illustrations to come.
