What If You Get Your 15 Minutes of Fame But No One Tells You?

So I get this email saying I can now pick up the large waterproof portrait of myself that has been on exhibit for two months along the Art Walk near the Memorial Art Gallery. What??!!

I sent in my little self-portrait .jpg to the newspaper at the beginning of August for their fall celebration of the Neighborhood of the Arts and community residents. Then I forgot about it.

It’s not like it was a contest. The only requirement was getting your self-portrait in before the deadline (“showing up”). Still, it feels weird — like my spirit went somewhere without me.
