The Girl Effect

Watch this video, which premiered yesterday at the Clinton Global Initiative. It is from Girl Effect. It’s about the global impact of assisting 12-year-old girls to stay in school. I’m inspired. Decided to give a donation, dedicated to my dad, who died 5 years ago today and was the kind of father every girl should have.

Thanks to GOOD for spreading the word.

  1. Eric Zimmer says:

Keeping girls in school isn’t nearly as problematic as the boys. Seriously. Having said that, sounds like a good cause.

  2. I know what you’re saying from a pure drop-out perspective. But globally many think that empowering girls is the “low hanging fruit” of economic development. Anyway, as one who benefited enormously from girl-focused education, I’m simpatico.
