We drove out to Blue Rocks point this morning. The seas were glassy calm, so it was a perfect time to get those classic Atlantic coast shots — the weathered boat houses, the lonely dinghies. Very reflective.
Then we drove along the coast to a couple little towns that had shops. We didn’t buy anything except for lunch on a cozy outdoor patio. We read the paper while we had our tomato soup, buttermilk scones and creme soda. Lovely.
Now we’re reorganizing for a long drive tomorrow to Cape Breton, at the eastern end of Nova Scotia. Gassed up the car, found the ATM, and stocked up on the best cookies in town. Ready to roll.
