Sleepyhead Marketing (oh, yeah, that novel I wrote)

Last summer I was all about marketing my book, gearing up for cold calls to libraries and yakkety-yak to book clubs. Then we went on vacation in September and I came back totally focused on new writing. So here we are a year later. Yesterday we visited a shop specializing in Chinese antiques and it reminded me that I have a bunch of books I ordered to give as promos to people in the art and antiquities business. So I slapped “art dealers on the run” on the “one-sheet” flyer I never used and got my first “freemium” (?) in the mail. I found the flyer also looks good shrunk onto 6×4 photo paper.

  1. Sharon Parker says:

Where may I buy your book? Would love to have a copy to read…I’m very excited for you! Congratulations on your first book!

  2. Wha…?!?!?! I didn’t know you wrote a novel!!! The more I know about you, the madder in pursuit I become. [Heheheheh!] You’re the coolest of the cool in the family tree!!
    :o)

  3. I had a ball doing it. I lived with those characters for so many years — nice to get them out into the world. “The more I know about you, the madder in pursuit I become” — what a great line!
