Every development in my adult life has been momentously shaped by him from influencing me to apply to grad school after I moved to Rochester in 1972, to mentoring me in skiing and scuba diving, to shaping the content of my career (quality assurance studies), to giving me courage for world travel, to giving me the boost to leave the rat-race for a second career in the "art life." Now we are just two peas in our cozy pod.
Pay it forward. I like the notion of turning kindness toward me into kindness toward someone else. If someone does me a favor, I can't always "pay them back" but should at least pay it forward by doing a good deed for someone else. [wikipedia]
